No one can mistake a fan of North Carolina, when he or she pulls on the Carolina blue. And there is no one better to carry the Tar Heel hopes than this remarkable mascot, Ramses. From his UNC cap down to his cloven hooves, the Stone mascot's version of the Tar Heels' symbol is a thing of beauty. Ramses dates to 1924, when a university cheerleader got the idea of a ram mascot from a Tar Heel football player who was nicknamed "The Battering Ram". When he made his debut on Nov. 8, 1924 in a win over VMI, the Horned Dorset Sheep's presence was credited as good luck and he hasn't left the sidelines (or courtside) since. Our replica of Ramses represents true North Carolina spirit and is sure to be a hit at your Tar Heel gathering or when on duty on your front porch or in your garden. Made of premium cast stone, Ramses is the authentic UNC brand, arrayed in the Carolina blue that has made the university famous. Be sure to acquire and show him off in your home today.
